Avner was a beloved and devoted father, husband and son; a terrifically warm, funny, and energetic person; a brilliant and creative researcher; and a wonderful friend and colleague.

Paul Solomons

I met Avner when he first came to Canada and had the pleasure to work with him in his home search. I soon discovered what a mensch he was: after spending any time with Avner you always felt better about your day and life. To Ayelet and the children, words fail me but the lyric “only the good die young” rings true. Josephine and I wish all of the Magen family long life.
